with your ATS, improve mobile job search and application, support your employment brand and provide a stronger destination for recruitment advertising.

How does employment branding help recruiting?

Employment branding answers an important candidate question: Why should I choose your staffing firm? It helps define and communicate your employee value proposition and recruiting messages so candidates get a more consistent reason to choose you across your career site, job advertising, social media and other recruiting touchpoints.

What's the difference between employment branding and reputation management?

Employment branding defines what you want candidates to understand and value about working with your firm. Reputation management helps you collect feedback and strengthen what candidates see when they research other people's experiences with your firm. The two can work together, but they solve different problems.

What does Haley Marketing's Reputation Management service include?

Haley Marketing's Reputation Management program uses candidate surveys to gather feedback and identify positive experiences. Promoters can be invited to share reviews on sites such as Google, Glassdoor and Yelp, while other candidates can provide feedback privately. The program also includes review-site integrations, alerts and reporting.

Drive Your Employment Brand with Content Part 1: What’s An Employment Brand?

Step 1(a): Define what makes you unique.

Branding is about clearly defining how you want to be seen. To begin the process, start with the fundamentals:

- Review your company values, mission and vision – determine what they mean for job seekers and employees.

- Consider your company culture and candidate experience. Make sure you clearly understand what it’s like to find a job through, and work for, your staffing firm.

- Translate those into a list of key differentiators, a positioning statement, and ultimately, an employee value proposition (more on that later).

- Once you define your brand messaging, integrate it into your corporate identity, website and collateral, and then build and promote it through content marketing.

Step 1(b): Convey warmth, competence and authenticity.

To create a strong employment brand, you must define your value, service offerings and differentiators in a way that no other company can match. But unfortunately, that ideal is simply not feasible for most staffing companies.

The harsh truth? Most staffing and recruiting firms can’t create a brand that’s 100% unique.

If your brand isn’t unique, what can you do?

Focus on warmth and competence.

Warmth is about showing how you care for candidates, internal employees, clients, your community and broader social interests. In today’s world, people want to work for (and work with) companies that care…companies that demonstrate warmth to others.

## 4. Strategic Vision

Strategic VISION Strategic VISION
RECRUITMENT MARKETING
Talent acquisition is more than job advertising and direct recruiting. A lot more. It’s about branding. Culture. Analytics. And delivering an exceptional candidate (and employee) experience. To keep your job orders filled, you must master the
4 PILLARS OF RECRUITMENT MARKETING
CAREER SITE
For most staffing companies, your career site is
your corporate website. But is your site designed to
maximize your recruiting results? • Does your site get candidates to your jobs? • Is it easy to apply … on any device? • Are there options for people who are not ready
to apply? • Does your site tell candidates why they should work
for you … and not the competition? JOB ADVERTISING
Did you know that there are 40,000+ job sites in the
world? Where should you post your jobs? Effective advertising is about knowing which sites
to use and how much to spend. It’s also about
regularly testing and improving your advertising. With the rise of programmatic ad management,
you can now leverage software to automate your
spending and maximize your ROI. EMPLOYMENT BRANDING
Every staffing company has an employment brand. But too few control the narrative about how they
are perceived. Employment branding is about defining your unique
value proposition to candidates and proactively taking
charge over how you are seen. When done well, employment branding makes your
advertising and social recruiting more effective and
reduces your cost per candidate. SOCIAL RECRUITING
With people spending an average of 136 minutes
per day on social media, these platforms have become
an ideal way to source talent. But do you have a strategy to attract both active and
passive job seekers?

## 5. Drive Your Employment Brand with Content Part 4: Building a Library of Branded Content

Citation: Drive Your Employment Brand with Content Part 4: Building a Library of Branded Content, Mandy Wittschen, 2022-07-13, passage 2, https://www.haleymarketing.com/resources/ask-haley-blog/drive-your-employment-brand-with-content-part-4-building-a-library-of-branded-content
Source: https://www.haleymarketing.com/resources/ask-haley-blog/drive-your-employment-brand-with-content-part-4-building-a-library-of-branded-content

When needed, create candidate personas that include characteristics like demographics, skills, goals, employment preferences – and create employment branding content relevant for each audience.

- Create both evergreen and ephemeral content. While some of your content should have staying power (so you can use it again and again), balance that with time-sensitive pieces. Although they don’t have a long shelf-life, ephemeral content shows your ongoing commitment to being an employer of choice.

4(b). Examples of content to build your brand.

Need a little inspiration? Here are a few examples of how smart staffing and recruiting firms are building their employment brand with content:

10 Examples of Employment Branding Content

- Slide deck of your company’s mission, vision and core values – with explanations of how they positively shape your candidates’ experiences.

- Blog post explaining the top 10 reasons job seekers should work with your firm.

- How-to video that walks potential candidates through your apply process – and shows how easy it is to get a great job through your agency.

- Photos of happy associates and placed talent working on the job.

- Press release announcing Best of Staffing Talent Satisfaction win – with a quote from a standout temporary associate about why they love your staffing agency.

- List of the 10 best candidate testimonials you’ve received in the past year.

- “Meet our recruiters” short-form videos in which each recruiter introduces themselves, shares their background, and invites job seekers to connect on social.

- Images of your team being active in the local community (e.g., volunteerism, working for charitable causes)
