$1.2 Million in Revenue Traced Back to Website-Generated Leads
Haley Marketing · Feb 6, 2026
the site two years ago, their ongoing spend was still attributed back to digital marketing—providing a far more accurate picture of long-term impact.
The Results
The data told a powerful story.
In 2025 alone, $1.2 million in revenue was generated from clients who originally found The Headhunters through the website.
That figure represents roughly one-third of total company revenue—a clear indication that the website is not just a marketing asset, but a core business development channel.
Key outcomes include:
- $1.2M in annual revenue tied directly to website-originated leads
- Search-first discovery, with prospects citing Google rankings as the reason they reached out
- Long-term ROI attribution, accounting for extended sales cycles
- Strategic validation, supporting increased marketing investment in future budgets
With concrete revenue attribution in hand, the team now plans to use this data as part of their 2027 budgeting process, confidently justifying expanded investment.

Measuring Marketing ROI in Staffing – Email Marketing and yes, your Website! (part 3 of 3)
Paula Zeisz · Aug 29, 2018
The good thing about using email marketing is that there are several easy and effective techniques you can use to measure your success.
E-mail Marketing
The great thing about e-mail marketing is that most e-mail marketing tools come with built in reporting features that allow you to measure the effectiveness of the campaign. Here are a few measurements you can track:
- E-mail open rate:
The percentage of recipients who read your e-mail.
- E-mail click-thru rate:
The percentage of recipients who click on a link in your e-mail to visit a web page.
- Inquiry rate:
The percentage of recipients who complete a form.
- Opt out rates:
The percentage of recipients who ask to be removed from your mailing list.
***Real World Example***
One of our clients sent out an e-mail as part of their HaleyMail program that listed some of the top candidates they had available. They were amazed at the response they received. 23% of the 762 recipients opened the e-mail, and within a day of sending out the e-mail they received four job orders including one for a $135K position for their IT division! They have added a top candidates portion to their regular monthly newsletter.
If your using your website as a tool to generate more applications and sales leads (and, you should!), there are some effective techniques you can use to measure your success.
Website
Website ROI can be difficult to quantify. Very few if any clients will ever tell you that they are using your firm because of your website. However:
- Nearly 95% of prospects will check out your website BEFORE agreeing to a meeting with you.
- More than 90% of candidates will review a company’s website before applying for a job.
- One in four candidates will decide NOT to apply with a company because of their website.

Ask Haley: Is your staffing website making you money?
David Searns · Apr 18, 2012
A Killer Staffing Website is More Than Just Another “Pretty Face.”
Q: My website looks nice, problem is, it isn’t getting any traffic–nor people to pick up the phone. How can I make my website work for my staffing firm?
A: Is your staffing website getting clients to call? Lowering your recruiting costs? Generating new sales leads every day?
No?
Well, your website can – and should – be making your staffing company a lot of money. If it’s not, it’s time you expect more from it.
It doesn’t take a huge budget to create a successful website, but it does require careful planning. See, a killer site is more than just pretty, high-tech or outrageous – it’s a site that accomplishes your goals.
So don’t put the cart ahead of the horse. Plan carefully! Before you hire a website designer, pick slick colors or write the first sentence of copy, determine which of these goals are most important to the success of your staffing service:
- First impressions. If your site does not instantly make the right impression, you’re going to have a much harder time selling and recruiting.
- Positioning. Beyond making a great impression, your website should clearly and convincingly differentiate your staffing firm.
- Credibility. Staffing is a relationship business. And relationships are built on trust. Your website should showcase your expertise, prove your value and demonstrate your trustworthiness.
- Education. Your site can help you teach people when, why and how staffing can be used as a strategic tool to solve business problems.
- Enhance/streamline the service process. A killer staffing website should make it easier for people to do business with you, saving them time while reducing your service costs.
