[InSights] How Staffing Firms Can Rank on Page 1 of Google
Haley Marketing · Jul 28, 2025
or job seeker frequently asked questions in just one page.
I like the thought, Sean, of breaking that down and really lasering into these are the FAQs of candidates who work with us in the LI space.
Yes, we also do some office clerical staffing. These are the FAQs that we typically get from decision makers in that space. And that's on the page.
So if I'm hearing you correctly, we should have multiple FAQ sections of our website that are then answering the frequently asked questions of essentially each piece of topical authority.
Exactly. Yes. And you want to look at a down funnel. So it starts at the top. We are a staffing company in Buffalo. That's what you can potentially be found for on your homepage, on your Google My Business profile. If you're not optimizing that, that can be tied to your website. Super important there. But then step two is your service lines. So if you do light industrial staffing, it should be specifically optimized for light industrial staffing. If you have locations, you should have additional location pages that all tie back into your mainline service page.
Sean, we do. Yeah, go ahead.
Go ahead. You go, please.
I was just going to say, so the reason you do that is you're now showing Google like, all right, we are light industrial staffing firm. We've answered all the questions. We are trying our best to make sure that if you're searching for this, you're going to have a place to either find your answer here or we have internal links to, do we have locations in this area, this area, this area? Yes. And we're going to send you there. Do you do other industries? Yes.
That's either in our footer or that's somewhere on this page.

Staffing Industry Threats for 2025: Navigating External Challenges for a Competitive Edge
Brad Smith · Dec 12, 2024
are no longer a distant concern—your clients are exploring this option. They can get high-quality labor at a third or even a quarter of the price. The question becomes: how can your firm adapt?
Turning the threat into an opportunity: Instead of fearing this trend, consider how you can assist your clients in executing this strategy. Many companies don’t have the infrastructure or knowledge to manage offshored teams effectively. By positioning yourself as a consultant in this area, you can help them navigate offshoring while keeping your role as a critical partner in their staffing needs.
2. Immigration and the Workforce: A Double-Edged Sword
Historically, immigration has been a key driver of the labor market, particularly in light industrial and hospitality staffing. From 2000 to 2010, the U.S. saw roughly 14 million new immigrants. But from 2010 to 2020, the U.S. saw a large decline with roughly 4 million immigrants. That trend has reversed since 2021, with 9.3 million immigrants entering the country. Many companies are leveraging this influx of workers to fill low-wage, manual labor jobs, often bypassing traditional staffing firms.
Threats to light industrial staffing: Large light industrial staffing companies have reported significant drops in revenue, with some down as much as 70%. Why? Their clients are hiring directly from the floor, using word-of-mouth to onboard friends and family of current workers, cutting out staffing firms altogether. This is particularly prevalent in construction, hospitality, housekeeping, janitorial, drivers, cooks, carpenters, and landscaping.

Pivot with Purpose: A Conversation with Patrick Morin
Brad Bialy · Apr 23, 2025
This article is based on a conversation between Brad Bialy and Patrick Morin on Take the Stage, a podcast/vodcast presented by Haley Marketing. For this episode and others search for “Secrets of Staffing Success” on your preferred podcast player or watch past episodes on YouTube.
If your job orders have slowed down…
If your niche has dried up…
If you’re chasing everything just to stay afloat…
You’re not alone.
But here’s the risk: in trying to win any business, you end up losing what made you great in the first place.
Patrick Morin introduced a simple but powerful framework staffing firms can use to stay strategic – especially in tough markets:
Own. Compete. Reach.
Let’s unpack what each zone means – and how to grow your firm without stretching yourself thin or losing your identity.
What You Own Is Your Foundation
This is your core business – the work you should be winning consistently.
- You know the clients.
- You know the candidates.
- You know the pain points, objections, and buying triggers.
“In your owned space, you should be sucking the oxygen out of the room,” Morin said.
If you’re struggling here, it might be time to refocus, reinvest, or even rethink your positioning. This is the engine that funds everything else.
Where You Compete Is Your Growth Zone
This is the work that’s just outside your wheelhouse, but not totally foreign.
Maybe you’ve placed light industrial workers and now you’re bidding on skilled trades.
Or you’ve staffed office roles and now you’re going after marketing and creative.
You might win 50% of the time. And that’s okay. This is how you grow – but only if your foundation is strong.
What You Reach For Fuels the Future
This is your stretch zone – the business you want long-term but aren’t winning yet.

[InSights] How Top Staffing Firms Use Marketing Automation to Win Clients Faster
Haley Marketing · Jul 7, 2025
someone that goes to your website and visits your light industrial staffing
page.
Okay.
We filled a admin role for them last time we worked, but maybe they have a light industrial
need right now.
I'm going to follow up with them related to light industrial needs right now.
So it's kind of, like I said before, tracking those engagements and looking at those engagements,
but also paying attention to who you're reaching out to and what messaging will resonate with
them the most.
So step one is clean data.
Right.
Data in data out.
You can only polish it as best as you can.
You got to have clean data.
The second thing that I think I'm hearing you say is we got to have the right message on
the inside of that email.
Somebody opens it up.
What do we want them to do?
It's got to captivate attention, right?
We talk about the ADA model at Haley Marketing all the time.
Awareness, interest, desire, action.
If you want to learn more about that, there are full episodes of insights about that.
And then the third thing that I think I'm hearing you say, and not to put it in stages,
but just sort of where this conversation is sort of organically going, is monitoring and
looking at what people are doing post-click.
What are people doing?
What are they clicking?
And then from the website standpoint, having something like IP tracking provided by Haley
Marketing on the website to know what pages people are looking at.
Where are they engaging on the site?
Rachel, again, this sounds like a daunting task.
So how do you propose people look at all of this data?
Should they be looking at it daily?
Should they be looking at it weekly?
I will ask, should they look at it monthly?
Personally, I think that's way too long, but I'll ask monthly.
